Texans are known to be loud and proud of our state! We love hosting dinner parties and sharing recipes with our neighbors. One dish Texans are fond of is chili. We are sharing a fun spin on this classic recipe with our Texas Chili Cheese Macaroni.
For a southern Texas recipe, I knew I had to use this Texas-shaped pasta. I was pretty excited to see the Skinner brand offered this shape.
For this recipe, instead of cooking your pasta and adding your cheese to bake, you’ll prepare the whole dish in one skillet.
First, you prepare your seasonings and onion, then add your ground beef to brown. Last, but not least, you’ll toss in your pasta to cook and add the cheese at the end. You can print the recipe below and follow the simple step-by-step directions.
This cheesy deliciousness is sure to please your guests. I recommend you use a five cheese or Mexican blend. The whole kitchen had the yummy aroma of homemade chili!
You can serve alongside a salad and breadsticks. Or go with the tradition chili route – saltine crackers.
The only thing this recipe needs is some southern sweet iced tea, warm pie, and a hungry dinner crowd.
