There is no wrong way to put together a fall centerpiece. You can display a grand arrangement or go with something small and simple. The first step in updating your table decor for the new season is finding items you can repurpose. An easy step to start with is changing out your vase filler. For fall we added popcorn kernels to hide our stems.
This simple touch makes a bold statement on your table. Plus, it is inexpensive and quick! If your vase is top narrow like ours, make a funnel by rolling a piece of paper. Swap out your summer floral for fall hues.
When it comes to repurposing items in your home to make a new centerpiece, let your mind get creative. For this gold candle holder, we went unconventional and flipped it upside down. Using battery-operated tealights are not only safer but they also provide the flexibility of not requiring open space above them. Therefore, we were able to put the tealight inside the gold candle holder without fear of burning the top.
By stacking objects in your fall centerpiece, you provide various heights and depths. This cute decorative pumpkin fit perfectly on top of the candle holder.
We used our DIY Fall Hurricane Lantern as our statement piece in the center. You can fill the inside of this hurricane lantern with a large candle or more fall decor. For this layout, we used a faux pumpkin with a votive candle. The options are endless. Acorns and pinecones are other great fall seasonal decor ideas.
Remember to balance out your fall centerpiece on both sides. Although our vases and decorative pumpkins are different, they are similar in size making a rounded out tablescape.
