DinDin Party Mission: Bringing New People Together

As founder of DinDin Party, I’m totally psyched about building a great company. However, it’s the DinDin Party Mission that excites me the most.

The DinDin Party mission, in its simplest form, is to create a better world by bringing new people together over dinner parties.

The Importance of Connection

Most people agree that having satisfying connections with others is one of the most important treasures of life.

Hands-reaching-out-Naisbitt-quote

Today we live a high-tech world which makes our need for personal connection greater than ever before. Futurist and best-selling author, John Naisbitt, famously noted that the more high-tech our society gets, the greater the need for personal, human contact.

Ironically, we’ve never been more connected globally online. We play games, conduct business and contact people all over the world on our devices. But offline, and locally it’s often a different story.

Many of us don’t know our neighbors beyond a door or two. People often get cut off from family and hometown friends when they take on an out-of-town job. There are more singles in the U.S than married adults. As our lives change, friends move on, we move on, and as we get older, it’s even harder to make new friends. Divorce, the death of a spouse, even becoming an empty nester can make the process of staying connected that much more difficult.

Because of these reasons and others, more people are eating alone and spending more time alone than ever before. Social isolation affects everyone from millennials to aging baby boomers. And the scourge of social isolation  has doubled since 1980. Now studies show that it may represent a greater public health hazard than obesity!

The Power of a DinDin Party

Studies also show to have a happy and healthy life, we all need good, healthy connections with people.

The purpose of DinDin Party is to facilitate a way to make those good, healthy connections happen. To enjoy real face-to-face conversations and belly to belly laughs. To pass a plate of lovingly made food on to a new friend. To bring all types of people, from all over the world, together to break bread, laugh, play and truly enjoy each other’s company.

That’s the real “company” we are building with DinDin Party.

DinDin Party is more than a Dinner party

DinDin Party vs. Dinner Party

We call our company DinDin Party because it’s more than just a dinner party. It’s at the center of food, socializing and entertainment. A DinDin Party can be all about the food, more about the fun or a combination of both.

Imagine a homemade lasagna dinner from an old family recipe followed by a game of charades.

A gourmet meal from an undiscovered chef.

A wine pairing fine dining event.

A vegan cooking class followed by a delicious vegan dinner.

How about a bunch of fans of an out-of-town sports team getting together for a game-watching party and a BBQ?

A game of spades or bridge or Scattergories served up with out of this world, mouth-watering appetizers.

There’s no limit to the creativity a host can bring to a DinDin Party, providing guests not only a homemade meal but also a uniquely fun dining and social experience.
